Creating positive change through insight

Bright Futures Research is a specialist market research consultancy. We are passionate about making a difference to the lives of kids, families and young people. By combining tailored methodologies with creative thinking, we help our clients to make informed decisions that drive better outcomes for the next generation.

How can we help?

  • Charities

We help charities to navigate challenges and strengthen their capabilities, ensuring they can effectively support children and young people in an ever-changing landscape.

Whether you want to identify new fundraising solutions, refine your messaging, measure your impact, or better understand your audience’s needs, we can work with you to achieve your objectives.

  • EdTech

We aim to help EdTech companies create more effective, user-centric products, strengthen their market position, and demonstrate their value to educational institutions, parents, and learners.

Whether you want to better understand the user experience, identify the barriers to adoption, develop pricing models, or measure brand perception, we can help you achieve your goals.

  • SEND

A growing number of children with special educational needs face systematic challenges to accessing the support they need. We help organisations and charities understand how they can improve their services by working in partnership with neurodiverse families to co-design solutions.

Should you wish to measure the effectiveness of SEND programmes, review SEND policies, support policy changes, or develop strategies to address the growing demand for SEND services, we can help.

  • Education

We offer a range of services to organisations in the education sector, with the aim of improving student engagement, enhancing learning experiences, and optimising resources.

Whether you want to better understand student needs, explore attitudes to specific teaching methods, or analyse emerging trends in youth culture and behaviour, we can tailor an approach to meet your needs.

  • Local Government

We offer tailored services to support local government departments in improving outcomes for children and young people.

Whether you need an assessment of local needs, support in the design and delivery of youth programmes, insights to inform policy development, or an increase in user/stakeholder engagement, we can help.

  • Health and Wellbeing

We aim to help organisations deliver impactful, evidence guided health and wellbeing initiatives for children and young people.

Whether you would like to conduct a needs assessment to inform service design, evaluate and improve existing programmes, measure the impact of interventions, or develop preventative strategies to address emerging issues, we can help.

  • Sports and Activities

We can design and carry out research projects to help organisations create impactful sports programmes and activities for children and young people.

Whether you want to understand the barriers to participation, evaluate the outcomes of sports programmes, identify the motivations and behaviours of young participants or facilitate community partnerships to increase reach and engagement, we can help.

  • Culture and Heritage

We help cultural and heritage organisations create engaging and impactful programmes and events that resonate with children and young people.

Whether you want to inform programme development, evaluate the impact of existing programmes, exhibitions or events, develop digital strategies to enhance youth participation, or identify ways to make experiences more inclusive, we can help.

Who are we?

Bright Futures Research was founded by two passionate individuals who saw a unique opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people. With extensive experience in the market research industry, Anna and Nicky recognised a need for insights tailored to children, families, and young people.

Motivated by a shared desire to create positive, lasting change, they established the agency with a clear vision: to use research and insight to drive better outcomes for the next generation.

Bright Futures Research offers innovative solutions that empower clients to make informed decisions and shape a brighter future for young people everywhere.

  • With over 20 years of experience in market research, I bring a wealth of expertise in delivering actionable insights. Over the past five years, my focus has been on projects that support and understand the needs of younger audiences.

My work includes global research for renowned chidren’s brands, alongside collaborations with third-sector clients in education and health.

My professional experience is complemented by my personal connection to the neurodiverse community. This has given me a deep understanding of the difficulties families can encounter when seeking appropriate support.

My passion for creating positive, lasting change is at the heart of Bright Futures Research, where I can apply my skills and experience to help clients make evidence based decisions that lead to better outcomes for children and families.

  • As Co-Founder of Bright Futures Research, I am dedicated to supporting organisations that help children and young people access the services and opportunities they deserve, from education to mental health support, and beyond.

With decades of experience as a qualitative consumer researcher, I specialise in understanding consumer journeys and helping businesses focus on what truly matters to their customers.

My passion for this work is deeply personal. As a mother of both a neurodivergent child and a neurotypical child, I have experienced firsthand the unique challenges faced by families navigating the complex systems for special educational needs (SEN) and mental health services in the UK. This lived experience has driven me to focus my work on supporting businesses, charities, and other service providers who are committed to improving outcomes for children and young adults.
